Hamish Wixon, Director
BBSc, BArch (Hons), FNZIA, Registered Architect, Fellow of NZIA
Hamish graduated from the University of Victoria, Wellington with both a degree in Building Science and an honors degree in Architecture. He then worked in Wellington and later London, before joining his father Peter at McCoy Wixon in 1984 and becoming a partner three years later. Hamish is chair of the New Zealand Architects Co-operative Society and has been a juror for the NZIA Awards for Architecture.
Regan Hall, Director
BArch, NDAT, ANZIA, Registered Architect
Regan joined McCoy Wixon as a draftsman in 1997, leaving in 2000 to travel, study and work off shore. Regan completed his Bachelor of Architecture at Victoria University, Wellington and spent time working for large international practice Aedas Architects in the UK. In 2007, he returned to New Zealand and McCoy Wixon, becoming a Director in 2011. Regan has a particular interest in the fine detail of a project and the use of building materials to enrich architecture.
Niko Young, Associate
BArch (Hons), NZCD (Arch), FNZIA, Registered Architect
Niko believes good architecture stems from well-tested design theory and a vigorous collaborative design process. He joined McCoy Wixon as an architect in 2014, becoming an associate the following year. Niko had previously worked for a smaller Dunedin architectural practice for 10 years, before spending two years at Opus as principal architect. He is an experienced design team leader and places great value in client relationships.
